boom bust recovery jasmine


1) New deal this picture is showing a sip coming in for a new start. This was a part of recovery because it gave everyone a new start.
2) Motion pictures this picture shows how people watch movies at this time. This is a part of recovery because it gave people something to do for fun at this time.
3) Social security act in this picture it shows Franklin passing the law for the social security act. This was a big part of recovery because it wasn’t as many people that need help if they had this.
4)100 days are this picture shows all the presidents in their rating for the first 100 days in the office. President Roosevelt chose to forego the traditional celebratory balls and begin work directly, an indication of the severity of the national economic crisis.
5) Eleanor Roosevelt this picture just shows her. This has to do with recovery because she was the first lady and played a big part of the new deal.
6) Franklin d. Roosevelt this picture shows him specking to people and to TV. This has to do with recovery because he made up the new deal.
7) Aaa (agricultural adjustment act) restricted agricultural production in the New Deal era by paying farmers to reduce crop area. Its purpose was to reduce crop surplus so as to effectively raise the value of crops, thereby giving farmers relative stability again.
8) Tva (Tennessee valley authority) is a federally owned corporation in the United States created by congressional charter in May 1933 to provide navigation, flood control, electricity generation, fertilizer manufacturing, and economic development in the Tennessee Valley, a region particularly impacted by the Great Depression. The TVA was envisioned not only as a provider, but also as a regional economic development agency that would use federal experts and electricity to rapidly modernize the region's economy and society.
9) Ccc (civilian conservation crops) was a public work relief program for unemployed men. As part of the New Deal legislation proposed by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR), the CCC was designed to aid relief of the unemployment resulting from the Great Depression.
10) Nya (national youth administration) was a New Deal agency in the United States. It. It operated from 1935 to 1943 as part of the Works Progress Administration.
1) Herbert Hoover this just shows a picture of him himself. He was part of bust because As the United States Secretary of Commerce in the 1920s under Presidents Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge, he promoted government intervention under the rubric "economic modernization".
2) Dust bowl this picture shows a big cloud of dust going over people’s houses. This was a part of the bust because was a period of severe dust storms causing major ecological and agricultural damage to American and Canadian prairie lands from 1930 to 1936 (in some areas until 1940).
3) Stock market this picture shows a lot of numbers that have to do with the stocks that people own. This has to do with bust that’s what kept the us going with money.
4) Great depression in this picture it shows women in her kids with no home they look very sad. This was a part of bust because people had no jobs no money and no place to live due to the stock market crush.
5 soup kitchen in this picture it shows people lining up for food because they have nothing to eat. This is a part of bust because people use this for food when the stock market.
6) Bread lines in this picture its shows people lined up to eat. This was a big part of bust because this was how people got their meals in at this time.
7) Shantytowns in this picture its shows the kind of houses they had to live in at this. This played a big role at this time because the used what was left to make a good living for them and their love ones.
8)bonus army this picture also shows a place of living this has to do with the bust time period because all their homes where gone and this is how they were living at this time.
9) The grapes of wrath n this picture it shows a boy and his dad looking at land that went bad from the dust bowl. This has to do with bust because Set during the Great Depression, the novel focuses on a poor family of sharecroppers, the Joads, driven from their Oklahoma home by drought, economic hardship, and changes in the agriculture industry.
10) Black Tuesday in this picture it shows in the paper when the stock market crushed. Shortly before the crash, economist Irving Fisher famously proclaimed, "Stock prices have reached what looks like a permanently high plateau.


1) NAACP this picture of people in the NAACP. I picked this because equal rights movement for blacks began in the boom period.

2) Changing role of women in the 1920s this picture shows a women as a plight. This is a part of the boom because it shows how women were now doing men jobs.

3) The Negro leagues this picture shows one of the first black base ball player. This is a part of boom because now blacks were getting some of the rights whites had.

4) Flapper in this picture she is showing off the fashion of the 1920’s. Referred to a "new breed" of young women who wore short skirts, bobbed their hair, listened to jazz, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior.

5) Harlem Renaissance in this picture it shows flavor and fun and a different look for black people. Refers to the flowering of African American cultural and intellectual life during the 1920s and 1930s.

6) Babe Ruth this picture shows him getting ready to hit the ball. He Was an American Major League baseball player from 1914–1935. Ruth originally broke into the major leagues with the Boston Red Sox as a starting pitcher.

7) Zora Neale Hurston this picture shows her reading a book. Were an American folklorist and author during the time of the Harlem Renaissance. Of Hurston's four novels and more than 50 published short stories, plays, and essays, she is best known for her 1937 novel.
8) Duke Ellington an American composer, pianist, and big band leader. Duke Ellington became one of the most influential artists in the history of recorded music.
9) Sinclair Lewis was an American novelist, short-story writer, and playwright. In 1930, he became the first American to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
10) Bessie smith was the most popular female blues singer of the 1920s and 1930s. She is often regarded as one of the
